Erase Signs of Aging with Portrait PSR
January 7, 2017
Most people have heard of laser therapy treatments to reduce wrinkles and improve skin tone. Options such as the CO2 laser can have a dramatic effect on skin tone. However, there is a new skin treatment that have the same benefits as powerful laser therapy with less side effects. Portrait PSR uses nitrogen-based plasma energy instead of light laser energy to transform the skin and erase the signs of aging.
Portrait PSR skin rejuvenation treatments use nitrogen plasma to transfer energy to the skin to promote regeneration of the skin while it increases collagen production. This treatment is more controlled and uniform than some laser therapy treatments. Although Portrait PSR is an ablative treatment that disrupts the skin surface, it does leave a layer of skin intact which promotes quicker healing than CO2 laser therapy which does not.
The benefits of Portrait PSR on skin are plentiful. Skin tone and texture can be improved, while wrinkles and lines are diminished. Skin discolorations can be evened while improving the tightness of the skin for a more youthful appearance. As the collagen production increases, the skin continues to improve for six months up to a year after the treatment.
There are two levels of Portrait treatments, one low for minor imperfections and one high for more pronounced signs of aging. The higher level requires about one week of downtime for recovery, while the lower level has virtually no downtime after treatment.
If you are looking for a new option to improve your skin to look younger, consider undergoing Portrait PSR. Consult with your local dermatologist to determine if Portrait is the right skin treatment for you.
